I finished Lynnette's Scarf. I will take a picture today since it is not raining. Then I'll wash it and send it to her. The Knit Picks Elegance knit up nicely and feels wonderfull.
since my Irish Hiking Scarf was such a success I thought I would try the "Besotted" pattern from the same source...Has anyone else done that one? I am using Queensland Katmandu Aran in a pretty grey-blue shade. I will post a picture when i get closer, maybe even start a knitalong for it if anyone else is interested. Happy St.Pattys Day by the way...
I left my scarf at my mother's. She lives 90 miles from me. I take the bus it takes 4 hours up and down. So I shall have to wait until I go back up there to get the scarf. I've been able to keep busy with other projects. I just want to finish this one since it is a gift.
Irish Hiking Scarf making progress using Cleckheaton
I have just joined the knitalong and have about 32" of Irish Hiking Scarf goodness done. I started the scarf last wednesday evening at my "knitting class". Its actually a gab-fest for a bunch of us knitting at different levels with a wonderful "teacher" Gunnes. I brought the scarf to Newport Rhode Island with me this weekend and did alot of knitting surrounded by the wonderful mansions of Newport and also got to eat a wonderful "Sticky Date Pudding" by a guest Irish Chef during the Irish Heritage celebration. Very appropriate I thought. I love the Cleckheaton Country 8-ply yarn I am using. Its color 1396 a pretty rasberry color. I will post a picture when the scarf is complete... Sharon
My yarn from KnitPicks arrived yesterday. It is very nice and soft. I have about 6 repeats finished and the scarf feels wonderful. The color is a very nice soft blue. Can't wait to finish.
