IHS and hat done

Here is the IHS and hat I worked up to send to my Aunt as a gift. I used US8 needles and this is the worsted merino from Malabrigo in a blue-green shade - used about 2 hanks of the malabrigo - 440 yds for the scarf. The color variation is consistent throughout, although the digital pic doesn't show that very well. I was planning to make the matching cable hat, but don't have the SNB book to work from and create with the pattern adjustments linked here at the site.

This was my first kal, but won't be the last, and this scarf pattern is great! I have so many more colors in this merino to choose from, not sure who else will get what. Thanks for such a great site! I love to see all the pics.

That is gorgeous! I am planning on using the worsted in Vaa to knit this exact same set for my hubby. That yarn is so delicious. It's single ply, yes? I was afraid that the cables wouldn't pop but my fears are set aside now. :-)
