Hi! Q about pilling.

Hey there,
I just joined. The IHS will be my second cabling project, I was so surprised upon knitting Coronet how easy cabling is!
So, I'm knitting the scarf for my BIL for Xmas & I am trying to keep gifts very inexpensive this year, so I bought some Lion Brand Wool-ease for it, which I have never used before. I have been hearing that it pills, though! Is it really awful to work with? It feels nice and soft and it's a dark tweedy green I know he will like.
Anyway, I haven't even started, so I am willing to take the LB back & use something nicer if it is really going to pill. Any input?
